Mira Monte High School is going to be in its 10th. academic school year for 2018-2019.  There are plenty of opportunities for both boys and girls to participate in the traditions being built at Mira Monte High.  We will have competitive Varsity, Junior Varsity and Frosh/Soph athletic teams throughout the year. I encourage all of you to get involved from the start.

In order to participate in the interscholastic program each student must complete the following items:

Have a current physical examination and medical card signed by a physician on file at Mira Monte High.  This is mandatory and must be done before participating in any athletic activities including, pre-sport conditioning.

Read and understand content of the District Athletic and Activity code.  Return a completed copy of the Athletic Parental Agreement signed by the parent and athlete.

Complete and return three copies of the Medical Consent Card, which authorize medical treatment, if necessary.

Meet all scholastic eligibility requirements.  All 9th graders are eligible during the first grading period.  All other students must have maintained a 2.0 grade point average, carry 20 units the previous grading period and meet all other CIF requirements.

All 10th, 11th, and 12th grade athletes and cheerleaders must clear all outstanding debts.

Sign an “Ethics in Sports” policy statement.

PHYSICAL EXAMINATIONS

Freshmen incoming and returning students wishing to participate in sports must have a physical examination from their family doctor prior to participation in the fall sports program.  The physical examination results must be recorded on a physical examination form that is obtained from the school athletic office at Mira Monte High School (7:30am-4:00 pm). We will not accept physicals from Chiropractors.

During the fall season, we will offer the following sports.  Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Golf (girls), and Tennis (girls)
