Beginning with the 2022–2023 school year, California will become the first state to implement a statewide Universal Meals Program for students. This program is designed to expand the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) so no students are left hungry at school. Every school will provide two meals (breakfast and lunch), free of charge, each school day to students requesting a meal. All students are eligible for this program, regardless of income levels. However, it is important for all parents to fill out the Alternative Income Form to maximize the supplemental state and federal funding for your student’s school. Returning this form also ensures your school receives their fair share of over $100 million dollars in local funding distributed through the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). When families return the completed form, it helps direct more resources for your student and school. This form will be mailed home to each student’s household and an online form will be available in August.
Our mission is to prepare all students to be productive citizens who embrace learning and who are equipped for success in college and careers in a diverse, evolving world. "We Are The PRIDE!"
