Bio: I was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. I grew up in the typical 90's fashion; playing sports, riding bikes, and enjoying life pre iPhone. After graduating high school I moved to Houston, Texas to attend college and play volleyball for four years. As much as I loved Texas, Bakersfield was home to me so I moved back.
I have been teaching/coaching at MMHS since 2017 and absolutely LOVE it here! I am currently the Lion Advocacy Center Coordinator and have enjoyed helping our advocates provide peer to peer support to our students on campus. If you would like to submit a request for peer to peer counseling come see me in Portable 0. The meetings are private and confidential. The only time the advocates would have to report to me and/or administration is if you mention someone is harming you, you are harming yourself, or if you plan to harm someone else.
On the weekends my family and I are most likely watching football/basketball/baseball, working on home projects, or or watching our son play baseball (GO LAS VEGAS RAIDERS/ST. LOUIS CARDINALS/FLORIDA GATORS!!!) I married the love of my life in 2011, have two beautiful boys, two loving dogs, and an amazing family circle.
The best piece of advice anyone has ever given me is 1) Take care of your body. It's the only one you get! and 2) You are in charge of our own happiness. So, don't rely on others to make you happy... find that happiness yourself!!!
